Food and Wine has always been part of my life.  My career started in the kitchen, working my way up the ranks till I realized I would never truly understand food and wine pairing until I really explored the wine world.  I completed my ISG (International Sommelier Guild) in Calgary in 2003 and really enjoyed the front of house.  I soon started hosting tastings and classes and discovered the joy of teaching.

I moved to the Okanagan in 2004 and quickly fell in love with everything related to the industry.  I see a world class wine region in BC and understand we are still young compared to most wine regions of the world.  This is our Wild West era and enjoy this time of exploration of trial and error.  In the short 10 years I have been watching and involved with the BC wine industry, quality has increased and our voice is getting louder and stronger.

I have always appreciated a business approach to what I do and have run Restaurants to Liquor Stores to Wineries, but my biggest joy lately has been winemaking.  I started making garage wine about four years ago and caught the winemaking bug.  I am half way through my Enology Diploma from Washington State University and will be soon launching my own brand.

The goal with this site is to share my voice on BC wines and help an industry find its groove.
